Experience is key to getting the most out of your marketing activities - and your budget. I have spent over 25 years working in the IT industry, in a variety of marketing roles. Before I became a freelance copy writer, I was the Marketing Programmes Manager for the UK's largest IT company, responsible for the development and implementation of its Government Marketing Communications programme.
As a result, I have a great understanding of the pressures and practicalities of running an effective marketing communications campaigns - it's not just text book stuff, I have lived and breathed the joy... and the pain!
However, for the last 15 years I have worked as a freelance marketing copy writer, specialising in the IT industry and covering a broad range of technologies and industries.
Based on the success of my freelance work with clients I was delighted to be made a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing (FIDM) in 2004 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) in 2007.
